I hope you manage products in Fibery. However, your software development team sticks to Jira and wants to continue using it (so far). Here is how you can connect product management and software development processes together.

Here are the steps:

  • Step 1. Setup Jira Integration in Fibery

  • Step 2. Add Feature Id Custom Field in Jira Issues

  • Step 3. Connect Jira Issues to Fibery Features

  • Step 4. PROFIT!

Now let's dig into details.

Step 1. Setup Jira Integration in Fibery

Create the new App in Fibery and name it Jira. Click + Integrated Type inside and connect to Jira. As a result, you will have an App like this:

Step 2. Add Feature Id Custom Field in Jira Issues

Add Text Feature Id custom field into your Jira issues. I hope you will find how to do it since you use Jira.

For every issue that you want to link to Fibery, you will have to fill Feature Id field with an Id from Fibery.

Force Sync between Jira and Fibery. Go to Jira App settings and click Sync Now button.

Step 3. Connect Jira Issues to Fibery Features

Now it's time to connect Issues and Features. Go to Feature and add a new relation between Feature and Issue. Here is the setup:

And here is the flow:

Now all Issues imported from Jira will be linked to Features in Fibery based on Id match.

Step 4. PROFIT!

As a result, you can manage all your products and features in Fibery, while software development team will use Jira.

In Fibery you see the real status of development for each Feature. Let's say, here you see that the Feature has just one user story and one bug, and nothing is completed yet. You see who is responsible and can quickly navigate to Jira if you want to ping developers or add more user stories.
